Hazard: The fixtures can malfunction and fail to illuminate in the event of a power failure. This could result in a failure to provide adequate lighting to guide building occupants to an exit in the event of an emergency.

Hazard: Surface paints on the lapel pin contain excessive levels of lead which is prohibited under federal law.

Hazard: The unit can overheat or catch fire, emitting excessive heat, sparks, smoke or flames.

Hazard: The back of the wagon's plastic handle has molded-in reinforcement. This design adds stiffness and facilitates children gripping the handle. The handle poses a laceration hazard if a child falls on it.

Hazard: The chair can collapse when weight is placed on it, posing a fall hazard to consumers.

Hazard: Lamps can overheat, causing the adhesive inside the lamp socket to melt and migrate into the bulb area of the socket. The cooled glue can adhere to the light bulb base and make the bulb difficult to remove which can result in a broken light bulb, posing a risk of laceration to consumers. Melted flammable glue that migrates onto the electrical components of the lamp poses a risk of fire.

Hazard: The oscillating mechanism in the heaters can short out, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

Hazard: Some gloves were found to contain a variety of molds that could cause respiratory or other infections in individuals with chronic health problems, or in individuals who have impaired immune systems.

Hazard: The product contains iron, but does not have child-resistant packaging as required by federal law. If ingested by a child, these vitamins could cause serious injury or death.

Hazard: Strangulations can occur when a child places his/her neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the shade, or when a child pulls the cord out and wraps it around his/her neck.

Hazard: The dresses fail to meet the federal flammability standard for wearing apparel, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

Hazard: This over the counter medicine contains acetaminophen which calls for child-resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. Although the original bottle has child-resistant packaging, a separate dropper unit provided for dispensing the drug to children does not. When in use, a child can access the medicine, posing serious health problems or death if more than the recommended dosage is consumed.

Hazard: The pourable gel fuel can ignite unexpectedly and splatter onto people and objects nearby when it is poured into a firepot that is still burning. This hazard can occur if the consumer does not see the flame or is not aware that the firepot is still ignited. Fuel gel that splatters and ignites can pose fire and burn risks to consumers.

Hazard: Defective wiring in the lamps can cause an electrical short, posing fire and shock hazards to consumers.

Hazard: A welded eye hook on the swing bar can break, posing a fall hazard.

Hazard: The handle can detach from the shaker, exposing a rough edge and posing a laceration hazard. The detached handle also exposes small steel pellets and a plastic plug which pose choking hazards.

Hazard: The wires inside the sewing machine can short circuit, posing a risk of fire.

Hazard: The main blade grips and main rotor blades can release from the main rotor head, posing an impact and laceration hazard.

Hazard: The beaded curtains are prone to entanglement. When an adult or child plays with or runs through the beaded curtains, the risks of entanglement and strangulation are posed.

Hazard: The legs and seat of the stool can crack and break, causing the consumer to fall.

Hazard: The plastic castle display and the princess figures protruding from the top of the handle bar pose a laceration hazard if a child falls on it.

Hazard: A wiring problem can cause the aquarium heaters to overheat or break during normal use, damaging the aquarium and posing fire and laceration hazards to consumers. Overheating can cause the heater to shatter or the aquarium glass to break.

Hazard: The internal voltage regulator can stop working, resulting in the inability to transmit messages and tracking information in emergency situations.

Hazard: The aerosol container's liner can corrode over time, posing a risk of the cans rupturing and expelling its contents.

Hazard: The power cord can break at the flex point where the cord attaches to the handle, posing a burn hazard to consumers.

Hazard: The handle of the hot chocolate pot can break off during use, posing burn and laceration hazards.

Hazard: Mowers with the optional deluxe seat have an operator presence switch built into the seat that can activate the mower when the operator vacates the seat, posing an injury hazard from the blade to the operator and anyone in the vicinity of the mower.

Hazard: The knife in the axe handle can come out when the axe is used for chopping or hammering, posing a laceration hazard to the user.

Hazard: The purge assembly on the diving mask can disengage from the regulator, resulting in loss of air to the diver. This poses a drowning hazard to the consumer.

Hazard: The contents can leak from the cap when the bottle is turned on its side. When this happens, the cleaner can come into contact with consumers and property, posing a risk of chemical burns and irritation to the skin and eyes.
