CPSC and S.I.T. Announce Recall of Plastic Stack Chairs

Hazard
The chairs can collapse during use, causing the consumer to suffer injuries from falls.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using these plastic chairs immediately and contact S.I.T. to receive a refund.

S.I.T. has received two reports of the chairs collapsing. No injuries have been reported.
Description
This recall involves "Cometa" green and white plastic stack chairs. UPC numbers 0-82294-319754 (white) and 0-82294-319785 (green) are located on a label on the front of the chair. "Made in Italy" and "Not Recommended for Use on Polished or Smooth Surfaces" are also printed on the label.
