Hazard
If the springs break, the pedal may not return to idle once the driver lifts their foot off the pedal. This unintended acceleration increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Eldorado has notified owners, and dealers will replace the affected pedal assemblies, free of charge. The recall began on December 8, 2014. Owners may contact Eldorado customer service at 1-909-591-9557.

Description
Eldorado National-California, Inc. (Eldorado) is recalling certain model year 2008-2009 Axess, E-Z Rider II, XHF, Escort RE-A, and Transmark RE vehicles manufactured April 1, 2008, to December 30, 2008. The mechanical springs used to return the accelerator pedal to idle after the driver lifts their foot off the pedal may break.
