Hazard: During heavy braking, the brake tabs on the front forks could break off, possibly causing a loss of control and fall from the bicycle.

Hazard: Damage to the fuel tank grommet can cause a fuel leak, posing a serious fire hazard to consumers.

Hazard: Brass gear in the steering sector can break, causing consumers to lose steering capabilities.

Hazard: The lower front suspension arm can separate from the steering assembly, resulting in a loss of steering control and posing a serious risk of injury to the rider.

Hazard: The bicycle pump can become over-pressurized with air, forcing the handle to quickly and unexpectedly rise upward, possibly injuring the user.

Hazard: The forks on the bicycles can develop cracks near the crown area, resulting in failure of the fork and posing a risk of injury to the rider.

Hazard: Welds on the frame of these trampolines can break during use, causing consumers to fall to the ground and suffer injuries.

Hazard: The throttle cable adjuster on the carburetor can loosen during operation, causing it to stick, which can cause the rider to lose control and possibly crash.

Hazard: The Start/RER switch for the SDI models and the Start switch for the V-1000 models may be defective, creating two potential problems: Condition A: If the operator leaves the engine cut out switch in the "ON" position and the tether cut out switch cap on the switch post, the vehicle may start by itself (SDI models and V-1000 models). Condition B: While vehicle is idling, the engine may stop and then restart in the reverse stationary mode (SDI models only). Both of these conditions may be hazardous to the driver, as well as to persons nearby.

Hazard: Vehicle Accident

Hazard: The helmets fail impact testing required under CPSC's safety standard for bicycle helmets, violating the Consumer Product Safety Act.

Hazard: The stems on these bicycles can loosen during use, causing riders to lose control and fall.

Hazard: The ATVs may have loose or leaking oil cooler line clamps, that can release hot pressurized oil. This may lead to thermal burns, to engine failure due to oil pressure loss and, in rare circumstances, could cause a vehicle fire.

Hazard: These helmets fail impact testing required under CPSC's Safety Standard for Bicycle Helmets, violating the Consumer Product Safety Act. Riders wearing these helmets are not adequately protected from falls, and could suffer head injuries.

Hazard: There is the potential for failure of a weld securing the tie-rod plate to the steering column. If the weld fails, the plate can become detached from the steering column, resulting in a loss of steering control.

Hazard: The ATV contains a remote shutoff switch that shuts the ATV off. For the remote shutoff switch to work, the receiver switch on the ATV must be in the on position. It was possible for the ATV to be started with the receiver switch in the off position. The ATV could not be shutoff with the remote switch, should the rider start to act in an unsafe manner. This could cause serious bodily harm.

Hazard: The mounting bolts on the front brake calipers were not tightened to the specified torque value. This may cause the bolts to loosen or fall out during operation, resulting in brake failure. This could result in severe injury or death.

Hazard: The frames on these bicycles can break, which can cause riders to lose control and crash.

Hazard: Vehicle Accident

Hazard: The front shocks can break apart internally while riding. If this happens, the shock halves can separate, causing the ATV suspension to fail. The operator can lose control of the ATV, possibly resulting in injury or death.

Hazard: Some of the ATVs were assembled with a wire harness that may have broken ground wire strands from an improperly crimped wire splice. Broken ground wire strands could result in electrical open circuits. An electrical open circuit could prevent the tail/stop lamp from illuminating or could cause the CDI-unit of the ignition to not function. If the CDI-unit does not function, the engine will stop running, possibly leaving the rider stranded away from his or her base of operation.

Hazard: The frames on some of these bicycles have been improperly manufactured, causing too much of the thickest portion of the downtube to be removed. This could cause the frame to break during use, resulting in falls and serious injury to riders.

Hazard: The frames of these bicycles can break apart, causing the rider to fall and suffer injuries.

Hazard: The hose barbs that are used for the fuel fittings on the bottom of the fuel tank may have been overly tightened and possibly the wrong sealer was used during assembly. This can cause the threaded joint to fail and the sealer to not adhere to the joint itself. Fuel can drip from the tank, posing a fire hazard. In addition, there was a casting flaw in the aluminum housing on the front suspension. This could cause the front wheel to come loose from the connection point, causing the rider to lose control of the vehicle.

Hazard: The length of the crank arm in the 2003 model fails to allow sufficient space between the rider's foot and the front wheel, when the front wheel is turned backwards. The rider's foot could come in contact with the front wheel, causing the rider to lose control, fall and possibly suffer serious injury.

Hazard: The pressure gauge lens can separate from the pump and strike a consumer, causing injury.

Hazard: On all models, the brake pad may separate from the backing plate, which could cause brake failure. The brake pads will be replaced on all of the models. On model numbers S02NX4CS and S02NX4CSR the brake disc rivets may shear, which could cause brake failure. On these models, the brake disc and the brake pads will be replaced.

Hazard: The spring and adjuster can separate from the suspension fork and strike the rider, causing injuries.

Hazard: The problem with the RANGER vehicles and UTVs involves the swing arm, which is part of the rear suspension. During operation of the vehicle, the pivot bolts of the swing arm can loosen and fall out. If this happens, the swing arm can become partially disconnected from the frame. This can result in the vehicle losing power, because the drivetrain connection to the wheels is no longer maintained. If this were to occur, the loss of power and resulting swing arm disorientation could cause the operator to lose control of the vehicle, resulting in injury to the operator.

Hazard: The ball joints on the front suspension of these ATVs can fail, resulting in a loss of control. This can cause the ATV to overturn, posing a risk of serious injury or death to riders.
