Hazard
A detached steering arm may cause a loss of steering control. In addition, attachment hardware may fall and become a road hazard. Both of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dexter Axle will inspect the steering arm and apply welds, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 4, 2021. Owners may contact Trail King's customer service at 1-800-843-3324 or Dexter Axle's customer service at 1-574-295-7888. Trail King's number for this recall is TK202103.

Description

Trail King Industries, Inc. (Trail King) is recalling certain 2018-2020 TKOLB332NG-HH, TKOLB336NG, TKOLB336NG-HH, TKOLB434NG-HH, and TKOLB436NG-HH vehicles equipped with Dexter Smart Steer axles. The steering arm may detach from the steering knuckle during certain low-speed, high-side loading maneuvers.

Dexter Axle will inspect the steering arm and apply welds, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 4, 2021.
